What is Certified Mail and how is it different than just requiring a signature?

Prove you sent it with Certified Mail. See when it was delivered or that a delivery attempt was made, and get the signature of the person who accepts the mailing, and when combined with Return Receipt get a physical signature back in the mail.
Certified Return Receipt
Certified Mail is primarily used for important documents requiring proof they were sent, and confirmation that it was received by the intended recipient. Signature services work just as well, but are not advised for legal mail.
